Danny Wayne Smotherman, 64, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. Mr. Smotherman was born in Shelbyville to the late John D. and Verna Smith Smotherman.
Mr. Smotherman was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Allen Smotherman, sister, Johnnie Ruth Pope and twin sister, Mary Jane Smotherman Davis. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Warrick; Wendi Smotherman (Billy Curran); Kelly Smotherman (Kevin Young) all of Murfreesboro; sister, Darlene Pope of Rover; grandchildren, Ashley Smotherman; Jessica Adcox; Garry Alan Warrick; Chance Curran; and mother of his children, Barbara Smotherman Vassar of Woodbury.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Owen Ivery and Bro. Dorris Young officiating. Burial to follow at Smotherman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Warrick, Billy Curran, Kevin Young, Cody Miller, Ronnie Perryman and Wayne Bogle.
