Dewayne Burt, 46, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Alive Hospice St. Thomas West after a long battle with cancer. Dewayne was a native of Chicago, IL and served in the United States Army before attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dewayne was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed spending time with family.
Dewayne was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Amy Jane Jones and grandmother, Anatalie Jeane Burt. He is survived by his wife, Chrissy Davenport Burt; daughter, Makoi Jeane' Burt; mother, Lenora (Charlie) Burt; in laws, James H. and Barbara Davenport; and host of family and close friends.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2:00pm until Celebration of Life at 4:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with John Kellis officiating and with military honors.
