James Norris, 62 of Murfreesboro passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Norris was an architect with Earl Swensson and Associates and he was of the Christian faith. He loved his family and was a dedicated fan of the University of Alabama's football program. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents James and Clara Norris and his first wife Betty Norris. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Anita Norris of Murfreesboro; son, Brian Newman of Murfreesboro; daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Ruiz of Murfreesboro, Karla (Jason) Moore of Murfreesboro, Nicole (Micheal) Powell of Christiana; grandchildren, Joey Powell, Mandalin Newman,Kaleb Newman, Bennett Ruiz, and Baby Moore; sister Janet (Gary) Parker of Birmingham, AL. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Tony Long officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to The American Heart Association. Those wishing may send condolences online at www.murfreesborofuneralhome.com
