Obituary of Joan Davenport Walden Murray

Joan Davenport Walden Murray, 66, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, November 01, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital. Mrs. Murray was born in Nashville, TN to the late Cordell Austin Davenport and Lou England Davenport. She was retired from UPS. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Davenport and sister, Barbara Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, Danny Murray; sons, Lee (Angie) Walden and Kenny Walden; daughter, Joni (Roger) Chandler, all of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren, Ashley Byrd, Mitchell Walden, Alli Scott, Nikki Walden, Austin Chandler, John Walden, Jonah Walden, Tyler Walden, Gracie Walden; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Shumate of Madison, Venita Bobbitt of Madison, Nancy Overstreet of Gallatin and Cathy Allgood of Gallatin. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday, November 04, 2013 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, November 04, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Johnson officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
