Ambrose Harvey McCann, 85, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Northside Healthcare Center. Mr. McCann was born in St. Louis, MO to the late Charles and Thelma McCann. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. He was retired from the United States Navy, Marine, and Air Force. Mr. McCann was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosemary Cira. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. Anderson McCann; son, and daughter in law, Mark A. and Lisa McCann of Murfreesboro; granddaughters, Stephanie Renee Huggins (Todd) of Murfreesboro; Mary Katherine McCann of Murfreesboro; Carolyn Lee Picklesimer (Lance Corporal Derek) of Cherry Point, NC; great grandchildren, Peyton Allen Huggins and Cheyenne Rose Huggins; brother, Leo McCann of Albuquerque, NM; sisters; Dana Fricke of Roseville, CA; Georgia Polys of IL; and brother in law, William Cira of St. Louis, MO The family will receive friends Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Marie Hatcher officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. In Lieu of flowers family ask for donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
