Sam Pirtle, 78, of Murfreesboro passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home. Mr. Pirtle was born in Medon, TN to the late Robert Sidney Pirtle and Nannie Lou Brown Pirtle. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and Bel Aire Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Earlene Pirtle. He is survived by his daughters, Carrie (Jeff) Platt of Murfreesboro and Kelly (Kelly) Hester of Beechgrove; grandchildren, Natalie Hester and Brian Hester; brother, James R. (Gayle) Pirtle of Memphis; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Clardy officiating. Graveside will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Beaver Dam, KY will be Wednesday at 2:30pm with burial to follow.
