James Richard Lovvorn Sr, 89, of Murfreesboro passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at his home. Mr. Lovvorn was born in Bedford County, TN to the late Charlie and Lula Robertson Lovvorn. He was a longtime Mechanic in Rutherford County. Mr. Lovvorn was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret Stem Lovvorn; son, Jerry Wayne Lovvorn; stepson, Lester Carter; sister, Ozella Lovvorn Stem; brother, Charlie Ples Lovvorn Jr. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Lovvorn; daughters, Judy (Royce) Gienger of St. Francis, Kansas, Patsy (Hyland) Alsup of Lascassas and Linda McAdoo of Murfreesboro; sons, James (Shirley) Lovvorn Jr, William (Carolyn) Lovvorn, Richmond (Geraldine) Carter, all of Murfreesboro, Howard (Willa) Lovvorn of Shelbyville, Randall (Melissa) Lovvorn and Larry Dale "Buckwheat" (Renee) Lovvorn, both of Murfreesboro; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Rachel Morton of Murfreesboro.
Graveside service will be Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 am at Lovvorn Cemetery with burial to follow.
