Jesse L. Haney, 66, of Christiana, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Haney was born in Franklin County, TN to the late Rube and Alma Thompson Haney. He was a past employee of Farrar Brothers Hardware and of the Pentecostal faith. He was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Mr. Haney was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry, Johnny and James Haney; sisters, Elizabeth Barnes and Freda Haney. He is survived by his wife, Frieda Douglas Haney; sons, Jason (Jessica) Haney of Bell Buckle and Billy (Tina) Porter of Murfreesboro; several grandchildren; brother, Joe (Faye) Haney of Murfreesboro; sister, Martha (Tommy) Bryan of Manchester; sisters in law, Joyce Haney of Biloxi, MS and Faye Haney of Tullahoma.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 03, 2013 from 11:00 am until the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with close friends as speakers. Burial to be at Whitworth Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or American Cancer Society.
