Johnny Wheeler, 65, of Smyrna passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at VA Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Wheeler was born in Nashville, TN to the late Talmage and Dorothy Grubbs Wheeler. He was a longtime employee of Piedmont Natural Gas and a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Oakley. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wheeler; daughter, Mandy Wheeler Baker (David); son, Cliff Wheeler (Mary E.), all of Smyrna; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous other "grandchildren" and loved by many; brother, Randy Wheeler of Waverly; sister, Darlene Helton of Nashville.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 02, 2013 from 3:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 5:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Alan Smith officiating.
