Joe Don Willard, 82, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, April 06, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center. Mr. Willard was born in Highpoint, NC to the late Charles E. and Ila Mae Jackson Willard. He was a retired Director of Quantico National Cemetery starting there upon its opening in 1983, veteran of US Army and retired veteran of US Air Force and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Willard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles E. Willard, Jr; sister, Dorothy Ray Hornady. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Willard; sons, Joe D. Willard, Jr of McMinnville and Mitchell Vance (Lesa) Willard of Murfreesboro; daughters, Cindy M. (Leroy) Groves of Murfreesboro, Debbie Kay (Jack) Sinkey of Cabot, AK, Josie Willard of Murfreesboro and Jess Willard (Clayton) Grayum of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5:00 pm until the 7:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Byers officiating. Burial to be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
