To The Family of Mr. Joseph Nicholas Brown I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you. Although we are not acquainted with one another, we are acquainted with the pain when our loved ones fall asleep in death. “If a man die, shall he live again?” asked the man Job long ago. Perhaps you, too, have wondered about this. When a child dies, it is particularly hard for the mother. Thus the Bible acknowledges the bitter grief that a mother can feel. Of course, it is difficult for the bereaved father as well. How would you feel if you knew that a reunion with your loved ones was possible right here on earth under the best of conditions? Well, the Bible makes the promise: “Your dead ones will live. . . . They will rise up.” And the Bible also says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it. Christ Jesus promises that the day is soon coming in which all those in the memorial tombs (graves) will hear his voice and come out. A promise is also given in which God tells us that he is going to wipe the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and death will be no more. May each of you find comfort in his words.
