Obituary of Edmund Sanders

Edmund Ray Sanders, 85 of Lascassas, passed away Wednesday, March 02, 2011 at Tennessee State Veterans Home. Mr. Sanders was born in Christiana to the late Samuel and Emma Sanders. He was of the Baptist Faith and a past President of Smyrna VFW. He was veteran of the United State Army and served in World War II. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary W. Sanders, and sister, Alruth Murphy. He is survived by his daughters, Jane (Randy) Pfeiffer of Lascassas; Patsy (Carl) White of Murfreesboro; Marie (Jimmy) Jones of Murfreesboro; sons, Ray (Brenda) Sanders of Readyville; Jerry Sanders of Murfreesboro 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers, Avery Sanders of Walter Hill; and Leslie Sanders of Huntsville, AL. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 04, 2011 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 05, 2011 at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Donnie Jones, David White, Roger White, Mike Sanders, Jeff Jones, Macon Todd, Terry Stacey, and Jamie Walden.
