Obituary of William Feldhaus

William E. Feldhaus, age 84, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Specialty Select Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mr. Feldhaus was born in Evansville, IN to the late Clarence and Helen Ellis Feldhaus. He was the owner and operator of Feldhaus-Schwartz Co in Owensboro, KY until his retirement in 1996. After graduating Owensboro High School he obtained his undergraduate degree at Centre College in Danville, KY. He was a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to operating Feldhaus-Schwartz Co he was employed as Staff Counsel for Texas Gas Corporation. As a United States Air Force veteran he served in the Korean War where he was stationed in Japan as a First Lieutenant for The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. He was a member of The United Church of Christ. Mr. Feldhaus was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Edythe Feldhaus and step daughter, Beth Parsley. He is survived by his wife, Carol Feldhaus; daughter, Mary Jane Taylor of Georgetown, KY; son, Hal Feldhaus of Seattle, WA; step son, John Parsley of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren and many cousins. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 02, 2012 from 11:00 am until the Service at 1:00 pm at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. In lieu if flowers memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association.
