Daniel Lynn Sinclair, Sr., August 13, 1948 – September 2, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Lynn Sinclair, Sr., who finished his race on Monday, September 2, 2024, and now rests in glory with our Heavenly Father. Born on August 13, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Daniel was the beloved son of the late John William Sinclair, Sr. and Bessie Jewel Patrick Sinclair.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Patrick Eugene Sinclair, Mary Elizabeth Sinclair, and James Ray Sinclair. He is survived by his devoted wife, Beth Louise Warner Sinclair, and their cherished children, Kathryn (George) Sinclair Moisant, Daniel (Amy) Lynn Sinclair, Jr., and Patrick Dawson Sinclair.
He will be deeply missed by his two older brothers, John (Kathleen) William Sinclair, Jr. and Billy (Jodie) Wayne Sinclair. Daniel’s legacy lives on through his eight loving grandchildren who called him “Pops”: George Alexander Moisant V, Aidan Jackson Sinclair, Brodie Parker Sinclair, Graeme Sinclair Moisant, Kinlee Lynn Sinclair, Patrick Dawson Sinclair, Jr., Zachary Drew Sinclair, and Ally Grace Sinclair.
Daniel’s life was a testament to his dedication to family, his unwavering love, and his enduring spirit. He was a resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee for 39 years and spent the last 20 years as a roofing contractor and inspector for Rutherford County School. He was a strong and fierce advocate for public education in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Dan loved classic cars, especially Jaguars, eating seafood, recycling and spending time on the Gulf Coast at the vacation home he and Beth renovated in Perdido Key, Florida. He will be remembered for his kindness, his wisdom, his generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date to celebrate Daniel’s life and honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alive Hospice (https://www.alivehospice.org/get-involved/give/) or LifePoint Church Riverdale (https://www.kindridgiving.com/app/Giving/kindrid-dn3o18v/RIVERDALECAMPUS) in Daniel’s name.
