April Leigh Richards, age 45 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.

She was born April 20, 1979, in Nashville, TN to Melvin and Janet Richards.

Preceded in death by her father, Melvin Richards; and grandparents, Clyde Murphy and Peggy Murphy.

She is survived by her son, Adam Thomas Smith; daughters, Janet Smith; Julie K. Smith; grandchildren, Emberleigh; Wrenley; mother, Janet Richards; sister, Peggy (Greg) Maples; brother, Adam (Chevon) Richards; and nephew, Gavin.

April was funny, outgoing, and loved life. She loved helping people that were in need. She had a sense of humor. She loved her kids with all her heart. She had her own unique way of doing things. She was full of life and would brighten up the room.

Visitation with the family will be held at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 11am – 12pm with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has ask that anyone wanting to plant a tree may do so on the farm in her memory, or you may bring a single rose to lay on the table during service.
