Frances Joy Brown, age 81 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Born on April 12, 1942, in Noah, TN to the late Ashley and Carrie Bell Majors Jacobs.
She was a retired schoolteacher in the Rutherford County School District. Frances was a member of New Beginnings Church.
Also preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Alsup; sisters, Louise Jacobs; Virginia Robinson; and brother, Paul Jacobs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Horace Brown; son, David (Marie) Brown; grandchildren, Michael Brown; Nathan Alsup; Christopher Alsup; great grandchild, Isabelle Rose Alsup.
Frances loved singing gospel music, crocheting, gardening, and loved spending time with her family.
Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 11am – 1pm with service to follow at 1pm. Interment will be at Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle, TN. Bro. Roy Robinson will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael A. Brown, Nathan Alsup, Christopher Alsup, Richard Brown, Michael Brown, and William Witherspoon.
