I was so broken-hearted to hear of Ms. Cherry's passing. She was always a ray of sunshine, such a joy to talk with. So wise and so funny- she pulled no punches! When I last spoke to her on her birthday in November, she was so proud of herself for walking without her walker and going out to lunch with friends. She is an inspiration to us all, to live life to its fullest. I am blessed to have known her and call her a friend. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her.

Even in the heavens beyond, Theda is probably wondering about the score of my recent football game. Colorful like a sunflower, she combined kindness and wisdom with a flair that was truly unique. Her faith matched her intelligence, proving as radiant as her glowing heart. Now, as we bid her adieu, I’m sure she's already wowing them upstairs with her intellectual debates and charming laughter.

I am a great granddaughter of my grandmother maw. She was the most beautiful soul, a few days before she passed she told me and my mama that she knows she can pass knowing i’ll be okay now. She is a beautiful and caring woman who does everything to help make anyone feel better. Maw I miss you, sleep well and know no one will ever forget you or the others you’ve helped.
