Obituary of Mary Faye Brown

Mary Faye “Nana” Brown, age 88, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024. Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at Crossway Baptist Church from 4:00-6:00pm. Funeral service will follow at 6:00pm. Dinner for family will follow service. Food donations may be given to the church for Monday. Faye Brown was preceded in death by her father, William A. Patrick; her mother, Hazel Harney Patrick; her son, Patrick Doyle Brown; and her husband, John Doyle Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Ann Daugherty; granddaughters, Megan Ann Hicks and Erika Ann Bullard; great grandson, Levi Cash Hicks; sisters, Patsy Stoops, Jo Daugherty and Winnie Welborn; many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Faye graduated in 1957 from General Hospital of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee. Faye spent years serving as a nurse in the operating room at Rutherford Hospital and in a nursing home in Murfreesboro, TN. Faye moved on to serve 30 years as a public health nurse at Rutherford County Health Department. Faye was proud to have had a long career in the healthcare field. She loved to take care of others. Faye loved to spend her time reading books, playing jigsaw puzzles, watching crime TV, playing with toy cars with her great grandson and spending time with her family and friends. Faye had a loving and caring nature. Faye was proud of her faith and had a love for Jesus Christ. Faye enjoyed meeting new friends and sharing stories. Faye provided a feeling of comfort to those around her, and she will be forever loved and missed.
