Dorothy "Dot" Twilley, 95, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away at home on January 21, 2024. She was born May 28, 1928, in Memphis, TN, to the late George Sanford and Blanche Louise Ardern.

Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 11am – 2pm with service to follow at 2pm. Interment will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2pm at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5886 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN, 38119.

Dot was preceded in death by husband Curtis Wilkes of Memphis, TN and later husband Eldon Twilley of Murfreesboro, TN and her brother George Sanford Ardern Jr. of Cookeville, TN. She is survived by her daughters: Linda Lewis of Franklin, TN, Carol Pinkerton of Kansas City, MO, and Debbie Vick of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren: Christine, Kathy, Laura, Karen, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Hannah, Andrew, and Amy; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dot was an experienced traveler, ruthless card shark, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her role as a matriarch and found joy in spending time with her family.

Dot will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for family, and her zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
