Gary Lee, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 73.

He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and love that will be cherished forever.

Gary’s life was marked by a deep commitment to all those around him. He served as a registered respiratory therapist for greater than 50 years. Gary provided critical care and comfort to countless patients. His compassion and caring for all of his patients was always the highest standard of care.

When Gary was not working, he could be found watching UT football or basketball games, gardening and cooking. In his younger days, he was an avid hunter.

Gary is proceeded in death by his loving father, Lawrence and mother, Ann Lee. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Debbie Lee. His sons, Derek (Sonya), and Daniel Lee. His 5 grandchildren Aiden, Alex, Austin, Ashton and Savannah Lee. His sisters, Nancy Kenny, Karen (Tom) Vig, Mary (Denny) Reifers, Cindy (Chuck) Stanga, Peg (Gregg) Vanmeter, and brother James Lee. His sister-in-law, Debbie Betty, and brother-in-law, Tommy (Connie) Betty. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Gary’s family and friends will celebrate his life in a celebration of life on Saturday, February 10, at 5 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home located at 145 Innsbrooke Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN 37128 with Deacon Pete Semich officiating.

Visitation will be held same day beginning at 3 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” Matthew 11 26-30 NIV
