Obituary of Nancy Jean Baysic

Nancy Jean (Bowman) Baysic, 78, of Murfreesboro, TN, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, January 09, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1945, in Gardiner, ME. She is the daughter of the late Lawrence Treadwell Bowman Sr. and Bertha Henrietta (Kittredge) Bowman. Nancy's life was defined by her profound love for her family. Her legacy as the matriarch of her family is one of love, kindness and the enduring strength of familial bonds. She was of the Catholic Faith and was a veteran employee of Home Depot for 20 plus years. Nancy had the wonderful ability to make everyone feel at home. Her door was always open to those in need and she was known for creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone felt loved. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Bertha (Kittredge) Bowman. Her husband Primo Magalong Baysic Sr., her daughter Belinda Ann (Baysic) Johnson, her son Primo Magalong Baysic Jr., her grandsons Michael Joseph Armand, Dell Michael Fields and great-grandson Beckham Garrison Hughes. Nancy was also, preceded in death by her sisters Florence Bowman, Katherine (Bowman) Witham, Leia (Bowman) Brown, Joanne (Bowman) Haight and brothers Lawrence Treadwell Bowman Jr., and Richard Bowman. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Malia (Larry) Armand, Zina (Daniel) Wagener and Cindy Baysic. She also, leaves behind 17 grandchildren Brandi (Jeremy) Lightfoot, Nicholas Brooks, Ashley (Shane) Clore, Brandon Armand, Derrick, Dillonn, and Danielle Wagener, Haley Baysic, Richard and Tara Marcum, Toni and Robert Fields, Courtney (Troy) Pipkin, Justin Brown, William (Brittanie) Hughes, Alexandria and Emily Johnson. Nancy also, leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren Jaylee and Jarren Lightfoot, Camden, Brenin, Taylor, Nevaeh and Kaidence Brooks, Aiden and Harper Clore, Schyler and Atticus Armand, Elijah and Callie Pipkin and Briam Hughes. Nancy is also survived by two sisters Marion (Chuck) Huchins of Brunswick, ME, Sally Smart of Murfreesboro, TN, and two brothers, Thomas Bowman of Maine and Norman Bowman Sr. of Bountiful, Utah. As well as, many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, January 12th 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Mass will be held Friday, January 12th at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Alejandro Avelino officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Rest in peace, Nancy. Footprints In The Sand One night I had a dream… I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of my life flashed before us, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life, There was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, You would walk with me all the way; But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, There is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why in times when I needed you the most, you should leave me. The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child. I love you, and I would never, never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.
