Velma Cathleen Schuck

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Velma Cathleen Schuck on December 30, 2023, at the age of 91. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a pillar of strength and faith, Cathleen's departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born on July 25, 1932, Cathleen's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and maternal devotion. A dedicated homemaker, she created a loving and nurturing environment for her five daughters, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. Cathleen and her beloved husband, who predeceased her, shared a beautiful and devoted marriage of 40 years, setting a profound example of love and partnership.

Cathleen's profound faith guided her throughout her life, and she was an active member of her local church community. Her belief was not only a source of personal strength but also a beacon of hope and inspiration for those around her. Known for her generous spirit, Cathleen welcomed everyone into her home and family, extending her maternal warmth to all who crossed her path.

Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter, and she took immense joy in the simple pleasures of life while spending time with her family. Cathleen's ability to find happiness in everyday moments was a lesson she lovingly passed on to all who knew her.

A celebration of Cathleen's life will be held on January 8, 2024, at 3pm at Skyview Baptist Church, 9914 SE 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98664, where we will gather to share memories and honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation in Cathleen's memory.

Cathleen's legacy of love, faith, nurturing care, and open-hearted hospitality will forever be cherished and kept alive in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide us.
