Obituary of Richard Martin Rogers

Richard Martin Rogers, age 66, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Born on January 9, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida to Oscar and Anna Rogers. Richard graduated from Millington Central High School in Millington, TN in 1975. He then went on to be a successful Operations Director at McKesson, where he moved all over the country with his family, settling in West Chester, OH for many years before heading back down south to Murfreesboro, TN to be near his family. He was a dedicated husband, son, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling with his late wife, spending time with his family, and watching baseball and football. He was always there for anyone who needed him, no matter the day or time. He loved his family so much. He will be forever missed and always in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Anna Rogers, his wife Marjorie Lynn Rogers, and his sister Renee Stanley. He is survived by his parents-in-law, Glen and Loretta Summit of Murfreesboro, TN; children January Barr of Lee’s Summit, MO; Nick (Sara) Rogers of Fremont, NE; Hannah (Allan) Lane of Murfreesboro, TN; Kelly (Adena) Rogers of Springfield, TN; grandchildren, Arlington; Tripp; Calvin; Sylvie; Charleston; Ellis; Rex. There will be a short visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Sunday, November 5, 2023 for family.
