Obituary of Tommy Lee Croy

Tommy Lee Croy, age 67 of Bell Buckle, TN passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by family and many loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Born on June 28, 1956, on Offet Air Force Base in Lincoln, NE to Charles Croy and Loretta J. Claridge. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Flora Lagrand; Grace Phillips; dad, Charles Croy; stepmother, Maxine Croy; stepdad, Paul Claridge Sr; nephew, Tom Henry Croy; brother-in-law, Kenneth Orso Sr; and uncles, Billy Joe Croy; Tom Croy; and Doc Hale. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Robin Croy; daughters, Cassidy “Nicole” Croy; Cashtyn Cali Croy; Rebecca (Josh) Hunsicker all of Murfreesboro, TN, son, Aiden Tristan Lee Croy of Bell Buckle; granddaughters, Monica Munoz; Jacqueline Hunsicker; grandson, Jake Hunsicker; sisters, Martha Orso (Lee Harvad); Cindy Nowlin of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Steve (Laura) Croy of Jackson, MO; mother, Loretta (Paul) Claridge of New Mexico; aunts, Kay Hale of McClure IL; Bobbie Woodard of Cape Girardeau, IL; Betty Gilmore (Johnny Lagrand) of OK., along with several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was known at Steel-Tech as Big Tom. He had worked there for 29 years as a lead operator. Besides working hard for his family, he loved spending time with them. Loved making people laugh, drinking Miller Lite, and taking shots of Crown Royal. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle like he stole it. He enjoyed spending time at the races with his brother-in-law Rex Wert when he would go visit them in Milford, IN. Tommy was such a loving and caring husband, father, and papoo. Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 4pm – 7pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7pm.
