Obituary of Jordyn Skye Smotherman

Our precious Jordyn Skye Smotherman, age 10 months of Murfreesboro, TN went to her heavenly home on Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born November 04, 2022, in Murfreesboro, TN to Zebulun Smotherman and Kierra Norwood. She was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Jimmy Davidson; Thomas Smotherman; great grandmothers, Klara Jordan; Faye Beck; great grandparents, Paul and Shelia Mathis; grandparent, Archie Norwood. She is survived by her parents, Kierra Norwood and Zebulun Smotherman; grandparents, Jimmy and Stephanie Norwood; Corey and Olivia Sales; Abe Smotherman (Jamie Cagle); great grandparents, Caroline Norwood, Helen Davidson; and a host of aunts; uncles; and cousins. Jordyn’s favorite tv shows were Cocomelon, and Masha and the Bear. Her favorite foods were pickles and mashed potatoes. Jordyn was such a happy, beautiful baby. Always smiling and never went a day without a smile on her face, every time any of us would walk into the room her smile would just light up the room so beautifully. She brought so much more happiness into everyone's life, from her beautiful smile to her bubbly personality that she will always be remembered by. Always screaming and yelling at her toys as she played and crawled the floor laughing. The way you would smile when you were bouncing in your jumper and all the little kisses and hugs you would give us. Watching you grow into the beautiful babygirl you were such a blessing to each and every one of us. We may not ever be ok without you by our side but you are our little precious Angel now up in heaven. Jordyn you are loved very much by each and every one of us/family. You will always be in our hearts forever and always. WE LOVE YOU JORDYN! FLY HIGH BABYGIRL. Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 9am – 1pm with the services to follow at 1pm in the chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Archie Mathis officiating.
