Obituary of Pamela Beth Smotherman

Pamela Beth Smotherman, age 70, was taken from us on May 11th 2023, following a battle with lung cancer. She was born July 26, 1952 to the late Karl Smotherman and Elizabeth Baskin in Christiana, Tennessee. Pam was loved by all who knew her. Her happy smile and compassionate nature will be mourned by her many friends and family members in Christiana and Nashville. She worked for 10 years as an English Literature Teacher and for an additional 20 years serving the citizens of Tennessee as a State Employee in the Department of Education. She will be remembered above all for her love of all animals, her youthful energy, warm nature and love of life. Pam cared for many cats and dogs over the years and was a supporter of several animal charities including The Gentle Barn in Christiana. Showing kindness to an animal would be the best way to pay tribute to the memory of Pam. Visitation will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:00, Saturday May 27th. It will be followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00. There will then be a graveside memorial at Smotherman Graveyard from funeral home.
