Obituary of John Michael Horgan

On Friday, May 5, 2023, John Michael Horgan, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to his heavenly home at the age of 70. John was born on September 28, 1952 in Saint Paul, MN to John and Martha (Grzefkowiak) Horgan. He was a highly accomplished businessman, he was an Operations Manager at RGIS for 32 years. John had many passions, some of which included ballroom dancing, karaoke, paintball, stamp collecting, WWII history, and Star Trek. He loved life and lived it to the fullest each and everyday. He was known for his Polish humor and Irish quick wit. He always had a funny joke or two to tell and an infectious laugh. John is preceded in death by his mother and father, survived by his sisters Kathy (Mike) Mueller and Lori Richnofsky. He is survived by his current wife Patricia (Ground); and grandchildren Jonathan, Ryan, Ava and Ethan. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Sue (d. 2012) and stepson Scott (d. 2022) and survived by grandchildren Natalie and Jake and stepson Robbie. He is survived by ex-wife Denise and sons John (Julie) grandchildren Olivia, Johnny and Avery, and Jason (Tammy) and grandson Nick. Visitation 12:00 - 2:00pm Monday, May 15, 2023 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:15pm, at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home, 145 Innsbrooke Blvd Murfreesboro, TN 37128. in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice or the Family.
