Martha was a kind, sweet and loving woman. She was always so welcoming when she saw you, even lying in her bed in her last days. We talked about the Lord that she and I love so well. She was in such pain and I’m so thankful she’s resting now waiting for the Lord to wake her up on that resurrection morning. Amen and God bless the family.

I’m Greg’s cousin, Josh and I was blessed to have been around this lovely lady and was even given some furniture when she went to live with Brenda. This woman never knew a stranger and accepted anyone with open arms whether family or friend and I believe she knew no difference. She was a godly woman and this world is a better place for having her in it. I’ll miss her dearly as she left quite an impact even the few times I did get to see her. I’m sure she’s happy to be back with Poppy and is walking through paradise. I and everyone whose life was touched will miss you Memaw.

Rick and I have said we will always remember Aunt Martha's sweet smile. That smile would flash every time we went to visit her. If you were ever touched by her, you knew you were loved. She had a unique way of letting you know you were loved by her smile and her hugs. I met her the first time when Rick took me to meet her. He loved her so very much and once I met her, I understood why. She will hold a special memory in our hearts forever. She was a woman that loved Jesus and loved her family. She will be dearly missed by us and anyone who knew her.

Q: How did you meet Martha?
A: August 15, 1972 we moved into the house my parents built next door to the Tenpenny's. I remember it well because it was my 10th birthday. Mr. Earl & Mrs. Martha were the best and sweetest neighbors ever! My parents divorced and it was just me and my mom and the Tenpenny's always checked in on us to make sure we were ok, l will never forget that! My mom and the Tenpenny's remained neighbors until my mother's death in 2006. I will always have fond memories of Mr. Earl & Mrs. Martha. My sincere condolences to Earl Jr., Brenda and family.
