David H. Barrett, 71, of Murfreesboro, TN passed from this life on Thursday, February 23, 2023. David was survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Barrett. Children; Todd Barrett of Mineral Wells, TX, Torrey Barrett (Kelly) of Mineral Wells, TX, Tamra Barrett (Jerry) of Charlotte, TN, Angie Steagall (Earl) of Murfreesboro, TN, Corey Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandchildren; Devin and Zoe Gregory, Seth Stanley all of Charlotte, TN, Taryn, Joshua, Raylee, and Cambree Barrett all of Mineral Wells, TX, Audrey Barrett of Nashville, TN, Olivia Steagall, Caden Sledge, and Cole Jones all of Murfreesboro, TN. Siblings; Lillie Mae Eason (Robert) of Texas, Earl Barrett (Mary) of Smyrna, TN, Nancy McNary (John) of Coalmont, TN. David is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lillie Barrett, sister Dorothy Condrey, son Terry Barrett and granddaughters Stormi Barrett and Hannah Steagall. David was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved working outdoors. He was known for his quiet manner, quick wit, and dependability. He had an amazing work ethic, could fix anything, and was always helping those around him. He was most known for his dedication to his wife and family. He will be greatly missed by them. There will be a visitation at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, from 12-1:00 with the service to follow. Pallbearers: Devin Gregory, Seth Stanley, Cole Jones, Chris Brooks, George “Bubba Primm, Malcom“Bubba”Campbell. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
