Frieda Lorine Douglas Haney, 74, of Christiana, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 14, 2022. Frieda was born in Rutherford County to Leonard and Lydia Robertson Douglas. She graduated from Christiana High School class of 1967. Frieda enjoyed being a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a Christian and member of Impact Church. She worked at General Electric for over thirty years where she made many lifelong friends. On any given day, you could find her giving of her time and talents by volunteering for various groups or doing things for the people around her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Haney, both parents, and siblings, Mary Ellen Smotherman, Clara Smotherman, Betty Batey, James Douglas, Richard Douglas, Melvin Douglas, Willie Douglas, Mack Douglas, Chester Douglas, and Linda Travis.

She is survived by two sons, Billy (Tina) Porter, and Jason (Jessica) Haney, sister, Joan (Calvin) Faulk, brothers, Leonard (Kathleen) Douglas and Bobby Douglas, and grandchildren, Heather (Christian) Powers, Ryleigh Porter, Jeremiah Haney, and Jacklyn Haney.

A visitation will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 with burial to follow at Whitworth Cemetery in Link at 2pm. Pastor Bill Adcock will officiate at the burial.
