Obituary of Samuel Macon Brothers, Jr.

Samuel Macon Brothers, Jr., age 79 of Fosterville, TN passed away at his home Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Sam was born in Murfreesboro, TN to Samuel Macon Brothers. Sr. and Mary Louise Bingham Brothers, on March 1, 1943. He graduated from Christiana High School in 1961. He was a lifelong farmer, truck driver and owner of Brothers Trucking Company. He enjoyed spending time with family, working on the farm, tractor pulls, Christmas and a snowy day. He was a member and former Deacon at Bellwood Church of Christ. Sam is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jerrie Brothers, children Jennifer Brothers, Stephanie (Paul) Forsythe, Angela (Jimmy) Jordan; grandchildren Matt (Brittney) Brothers, Blake (Ryan) Williams, Kendall Forsythe, Savannah Jordan, Chandler Jordan, Caleb Jordan; great grandchildren Wyatt Brothers, Reese Brothers, Amelia Brothers, Reeve Williams, and Lennon Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents Macon and Louise Brothers and sisters Mary Lou Powell and Nora Jean Messick. Visitation with the family will be 11:00am until 3:00pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Bro. Darryl Lewis and Bro. Jeff Adcock officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Haynes Cemetery in Midland. Pallbearers: Matt Brothers, Paul Forsythe, Jimmy Jordan, Chandler Jordan, Caleb Jordan, Rick Messick, Jeff Messick, and Mike Messick. Honorary pallbearers: Chris Hillis, Winston Brothers, Craig Lynch, Charlie Hamlett, Ricky McConnell and John Brothers. Memorial donations may be made to Truck Stop Ministries or AG in The Classroom
