Mattie B. Allen. Age 85 of Murfreesboro, TN transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Mattie is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Allen, and son Jeffrey W. Allen.
Mattie professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church.
She loved spending time with her family, studying the word of God, singing and helping others. Some of her hobbies were reading, being outdoors, sewing and working crossword puzzles.
Mattie leaves a loving family to cherish her memories: Children; Cheryl Baker, Sheila Allen, Charles Allen, Sonya Allen, Karen (Eric) Blackman and Greg (Adowa) Allen.
Grandchildren; Tony Crouse, Andreais Crockett, Gaberial Batten, Tiffany (Darrin) Whyte, Charise (Justen) McDaniel, Malcolm, Gregory, and Jaydan Allen.
Seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held 12:00-1:00pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family requests everyone to please wear a mask.
