Obituary of Teodora M. Daugherty

Dora was born on May 25th, 1957 in the municipality of Taal which is located in the province of Batangas, Philippines to Valentin & Maria Mismanos as the youngest of six children. She graduated from the University of the East, Manila, Philippines and had recently retired after a successful career in different trade areas including her most recent job as a soldering technician at International Tower Lighting in La Vergne, Tennessee. Dora was happily married to Roger Daugherty who was her partner in life, after starting out as pen pals, for almost 39 years at the time of her death. Dora was preceded in death by her parents: Valentin and Maria Mismanos; brothers: Pablito Mismanos and Danilo Mismanos; and sister: Nerly Mismanos Malabanan. Dora is survived by her husband: Roger Daugherty; children: Richard (Kelly) Daugherty and Krystal Daugherty; grandchildren: Addison Daugherty, Scarlett Daugherty and Lennon Daugherty; and sisters: Elma Mismanos Emaden and Tita Mismanos Kroeger. Dora impacted and touched the lives of so many people during her 65 years of life. The joy in her laughter and the compassion that she had for other's was infectious. She treated everyone as if they were part of her own family which is the reason why she is adored and loved by so many. If you were to ask someone that knew Dora, they would describe her as selfless, humble, caring, kind, genuine, joyful, funny, smart, hardworking, strong, courageous and the most loving person you will ever meet. She would often say that the greatest blessing in her life was her family, which she loved unconditionally. Dora would sacrifice anything to ensure that her family was happy, safe and full of love. She was so proud of all the successes that her family achieved over the years, and it was all due to the foundation that she built for her family. That same foundation will allow her legacy to live on forever. We should all feel blessed to know that the most beautiful angel will be watching over us, ensuring that all of us are happy, safe and full of love. Family and friends are invited to attend Celebration of Life gatherings for Dora, which will be held in Tennessee and Wisconsin. The Celebration of Life gathering in Tennessee will be held on Saturday, July 9th anytime from 12-4pm at the Daugherty residence in Murfreesboro, TN. Additional details regarding the Celebration of Life gathering in Wisconsin will be communicated at a later date.
