Obituary of Ida Belle Layhew

Ida Belle Layhew, age 85, of Lascassas, TN went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. She attended Lascassas Baptist Church for many years. Born on May 7, 1937, to the late Thomas Hardley and Maude Laura Cobb DuBois. Also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Layhew Sr.; son, Steve Allen Layhew; brother, Thomas Edmund DuBois; sisters, Tommie Lee Merriman, Lillie Mae Jones, Francis Louise Brannon, Mattie Laura Haislip, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Gale (Larry) Stanley, Pamela Kay (Jeff) Mathews; sons, Charles William (Arlene) Layhew Jr., Timothy Wayne (Jean) Layhew; daughter-in-law, Cindy Layhew Bare; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 4pm – 8pm. Service will be Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 4pm. Interment will follow at Bradley Creek Cemetery with Pastor Darrell Whaley officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Layhew, Jamie Layhew, Shane Layhew, Joshua Layhew, Christopher Layhew, Edwin Stanley, Nathan Lamb, Jess Arriola, and Andrew Jackson.
