Obituary of Lidia Maria Butler

Lidia Maria Correia Da Silveira Butler died on April 16, 2022. She was 60 years old. Lidia is survived by her son, Jozef Dalton Butler, her sisters: Filomena Silva, and Bernadette Braga (Jose) both of New Bedford Massachusetts. Additionally, her nieces and nephews: Jennifer Cruz (Peter), Stephanie Alves (Jason), Joshua Silva (Crystal) and Jonathan Silva. Great nieces and nephews are Juliette Cruz, Lucas Alves, Charlotte Alves, Brielle Silva and Julian Silva. She was predeceased by her parents, Jose Rogerio Silveira and Ana Natalia Silveira. Lidia was born on the island Flores, Azores Portugal on August 7, 1961. Her family emigrated to New Bedford Massachusetts in 1967. She graduated from New Bedford High School and moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to attend Middle Tennessee State University which she graduated from with a bachelor's in science in Business Administration In 1986. She was an avid lover of art, clothes and all things shiny. Lidia could wear a potato sack and make it look like she was wearing Prada. She could accessorize that same outfit and make it look like it was from Tiffani’s. And when she laughed, everyone within hearing distance would laugh with her. Her greatest love, however, was her son, Jozef. She relished in watching him play sports, traveling together and helping him achieve academic success. He was her pride in joy. Visitation will be at the Murfreesboro Funeral home at 145 Innsbrook Blvd. on April 21, 2022, from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery, 10 McGinness Ave, Carthage Tn at 3:30 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at Ebel’s 104 3rd Ave. W. Carthage, TN 37030. If you knew Lidia, she would have loved you to be comfortable in your brightest attire.
