Judy Benson Cooper, age 79 passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, surrounded by family.
Survived by her husband of 62 years Robert “Bob” Cooper; sons Robert Ellis (Michelle) Cooper, Troy (Penny) Cooper and Terry (D’ann) Cooper; 7 grandchildren Bryan Cooper, Robbie (Kacie) Cooper, Jordan Cooper, Matthew (Katie) Roberson, Abbie (Brett) Cox, Spencer (Tori) Cooper, and Jaden Lasley; 5 great grandchildren Weston, Ella, Sutton, Sarah, and Addison; brother Jerry (Janice) Benson.
Preceded in death by her parents Ellis “Doc” and Abbie Benson and brother Jimmy Benson.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Murfreesboro on September 19, 1942 and has been proud to live here her entire life. She was also very involved in her grandchildren’s sporting events and tried to never miss a single one.
Visitation with the family will be 1:00-4:00pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm Monday at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the MICU at Vanderbilt Medical Center and to the Villages of Murfreesboro for their kindness and compassion.
Memorials may be made to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
