Obituary of Mary Ann Bloom

Mary Ann Bloom, 75, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2022. Mary Ann was born June 19, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, MO, to Reverend Jim and Mary Palmer. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, with a BS in Education. She was an award winning school teacher in South Carolina during her career. Mary Ann loved to read, play the piano, and grow in her relationship with the Lord. She attended Real Life Community Church of the Nazarene for many years, up until her passing. Mary Ann married the love of her life, Byron Bloom, on June 1st, 1968, after meeting at a church youth Christmas party. Mary Ann traveled all the way to Tokyo, Japan, in 1968 to spend 14 months with her husband. Mary Ann and Byron spent 42 years in the ministry, including 8 years as missionaries in Australia. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Byron; her son, Jamie (Jessica) Bloom, and grandchildren Zachary, Sydney, and Sophia, of Murfreesboro, TN; her son, Jeremy (Tavia) Bloom, and grandchildren Josie, Regan, and Abram, of Murfreesboro, TN; three of her siblings, Reverend Jim Palmer, Reverend Michael Palmer, and Margaret Palmer; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Annjanette, her parents, and her sister, Dorothy Cashman. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Real Life Community Church of the Nazarene in Murfreesboro, TN on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 4pm-7pm.
