Obituary of Betty June Haynes Sutton

Betty June Haynes Sutton, age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away February 8, 2022. Betty was born on June 23, 1936 in Dresden, TN. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Russell Haynes and her husband of of 12 years, James Sutton. She is survived by her son, David (Anita) Haynes; grandson Ben Haynes and wife Cynthia Haynes; great grandson Jacob Haynes and great granddaughter Katelyn Haynes; sisters Jean Bradberry, Rose Jubera and husband Raymond Jubera; brothers Ray Tilley and wife Toni Tilley; James Tilley. Betty found happiness in Murfreesboro, TN. This is where she worked at General Electric for 15 years and then Gold Rush for 10 years. She loved both her jobs and found some amazing friends with both of them. After she retired, she loved to volunteer at the Senior Center with her friends. She always loved to be in her garden on a beautiful sunny day, loved attending church at Franklin Road Baptist and participating in al the church functions that came along with it. Betty loved all the time she had with her family. She never wanted to miss a family reunion, a ballgame that her great grandson was playing or just hanging out with her son. She was an AMAZING mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Betty will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation with the family will be held 3:00-4:00pm Saturday, January 12, 2022 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with the service to follow at 4:00 pm Dr. Mike Norris officiating. Interment will be 3:00 pm Sunday, February 13, 2022 at West Union Cemetery, Dresden, TN.
