Gene Albert Miller, 77, of Murfreesboro, TN died January 21, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1944 to William and Betty Miller in Williamsport, PA. He married Suzanne on February 28, 1968 and they had three children, Michelle Stokes, Yvette Lane, and Jason Miller. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Gene went on to work and eventually own a hardware store. He sold his hardware business a few years ago to enjoy retirement. He was an avid baseball fan. He enjoyed the Tennessee Titans, loved to paint, and was always outdoors in his garden or fishing in the nearest lake. Gene is survived by his companion Hilda Wood, his brother Michael (Maggie) Miller, daughter Michelle (Mark) Stokes, daughter Yvette (Johnny) Lane, son Jason (Sara) Miller, five grandchildren and their spouses, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Miller, and his parents William and Betty Miller. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 25, 2022. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 and celebration of life service will be after. Visitation and service will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Manna Café Ministries in Clarksville, TN. Donations can be made online at www.mannacafeministries.com.
