Penny Pope, age 66 of Smyrna, TN, passed from this life on January 4, 2022 following a long illness. She was a native of Nashville, TN and was born on March 1, 1955 to the late Tom and Christine Campbell. Penny spent most of her adult life caring for children. She was the owner of Ms. Penny's Daycare and helped in the care of many children in Smyrna and the surrounding area. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Paige Lynn Pope. Brothers: Jerry and Gary Campbell Sister: Judy (Campbell) Sartain. Survived by children: Wayne (Kathie) Pipkin, Michael Pipkin, Christi (Bryan) Thomas, Jennifer (Matt) Kunsch, J.D. (Jazmine) Pope. Penny adored her 12 grandchildren: Alexandria, Dylan, Amanda, Will, Keaton, Bryson, Braye, Elaina, Skylar, Mcynze, Landin, Jalynn, Sophia and 4 great grandchildren. Also, survived by sisters: Sandra Lee, Eva Campbell, and brother Timmy Campbell. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 am - 11:00 am prior to service. The family has requested that masks be worn during visitation and service.
