Obituary of Wayne Curtis Woodroof

Wayne Curtis Woodroof went home from this earthly life on January 5, 2022.
He was born April 13, 1943 to the late Burnice Woodroof Sr. and Annie Lee Woodroof.
He was married May 6, 1976 to his loving wife Barbara Lynn Woodroof and between them had six children. Curtis worked as a traveling salesman from the age of 22 until his retirement and also was active with the bus ministries at Franklin Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, to whom he loved until his last breath; parents, brothers James Woodroof, Burnice Woodroof Jr. and children Debbie Johnson, Denise York and Kevin Woodroof.
He is survived by his brother, Willam “Bill” Woodroof, sister Shirley (Joe) Reddin; children Melissa Woodroof (Tony Evans), Steve Medley, and Diane (Ricky) Hall, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Franklin Road Baptist Church on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 10am – 12pm with services to follow at 12pm. Interment will be held at Evergreen cemetery with Pastor Mike Norris officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Franklin Road Baptist Church as witnessing to others was very dear to his heart.
