Obituary of Eleanor Faye Barrett

On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, Faye Barrett, age 79 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, born in Cannon County, went home to be with our Heavenly Father. She is now at peace, all pain and suffering is gone. Faye was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister aunt and granny. She never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and saw the good in everyone. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Faye was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. She preceded in death by parents Mathis and Gracie Mitchell, in-laws Horace and Christine Barrett; son Jamie Barrett; daughter Shannon Michelle Barrett-Cooper, nephew Jeff Mitchell; brother-in-law Carey Barrett and sister-in-law Eleanor Barrett. Faye is survived by her loving husband, Elmo Barrett (Murfreesboro), sons Eric Barrett (Murfreesboro, TN), daughter, Nikki Brown (Smyrna, TN), step-son Steve (Lynn) Barrett (Smyrna, TN); brother Joe (Sue) Mitchell (Woodbury, TN) and grandchildren, Casey Conrad, Stevie Barrett, Amber Sherell, all of Smyrna, TN, Shane (Chelsea) Barrett (Shelbyville, TN), Trey Brown and Jackson Barrett (Smyrna, TN), great grandchildren, Lacie Barrett (Shelbyville, TN), Hollie Barrett Smyrna, TN), Jaxon Conrad (Smyrna, TN), and Blakelee Barrett; sister-in-law Pat (Roger) Growing (Murfreesboro, TN) and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 until service time. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
