Obituary of Dustin Michael Blair

Dustin Michael Blair, age 34 years, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. Preceded in death by his grandparents Juanita and Jerry Dunn and Marie and Douglas Blair. Survived by his mother Brenda (Lee) Douglas; sister Brittany (Trevor) Jost; father Jeff Blair; uncles and aunts, David and Jill Humphrey, Darryl and Elizabeth Humphrey and John and Andrea “Aunt Sissy” Pinkerton; numerous cousins and extended family. Dustin loved the Lord. At the age 15 he taught himself to play the guitar so he could play it in church. He also played 80’s rock and Jazz. An avid Predators fan, but loved all sports. He also loved watching movies, playing video games and collecting vinyl music albums. His passion was working with special needs children and adults. Dustin never met a stranger. He loved hanging out with family and friends. He had a special bond with a few of the nurses on 8 North. They would have him bring his guitar to the hospital and have jam sessions. The family would like to thank Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and the Adult Pulmonary Clinic, the nurses and doctors who provided Dustin with special care for many years. Visitation with the family will be 12:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with the service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that if you would like to help with something memorable to make donations to Murfreesboro Funeral Home to go toward his headstone.
