Larry E. Lamphear, age 83 years was born August 2, 1938 to Clarence and Nellie (Merkle) Lamphear in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Nellie (Merkle) Lamphear, Brother, Gerald Lamphear, Sisters in laws: Jane Daniels Lamphear and Gloria Terpening Lamphear, Brother in law Marvin Michel.
Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Modderman Lamphear, Sons: Mark Lamphear, Tim (Daniel) Lamphear, Daughters: Joy (Paul) Foricer, Allison (Brad) Davis, seven grandchildren: Cherylyn, Markus, Eva, Mia Lamphear, Christina, Michael Lory, Serena Davis. His brothers: Richard Lamphear (NC), Leon Lampher (MI), sisters: Jean Lamphear Michel (MI) and Judy Lamphear Craig (FL) and many nieces and nephews.
Larry loved his family and enjoyed playing games (Uno), going out to eat and family get-togethers.
Larry was a US Veteran serving in the Army and National Guard.
He was a member of the Franklin Road Baptist Church for many years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Bible printing ministry of the Franklin Road Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be held 11:00am until 12:00 pm Monday, December 6, 2021 at Franklin Road Baptist Church, 3148 Franklin Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128. With the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm
Interment will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
