Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Rodney L. Russell, entered Heaven on November 19th, 2021 at the age of 78.
He was the son of the late Charles Jerry and Bertie Mae Lacy Russell. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Smith Russell; daughters, Dina Davenport (Jerry), Shawn Pittenger (Pitt), Rodna Tabor (Greg); grandchildren, Justin Davenport, Logan Davenport, Caleb Pittenger, Conner Pittenger, Mason Tabor and Madison Tabor.
Visitation hours are 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 24th with Celebration of Life service at 1:00pm at Family Worship Center, 3045 Memorial Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Graveside service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN.
Mr. Russell worked at Courier Printing Company for 38 years as a bindery supervisor, and in his retirement years served his community as a driver for Mid Cumberland Human Resource Agency for 13 years.
He proudly served the Lord all of his life as a deacon, Bible teacher, song leader, bus and benevolence ministry leader and most importantly, a soul winner for Christ. He was a father to the fatherless, a mentor, a faithful friend, the baby brother of nine siblings and an avid UT fan whom we all loved and he will be greatly missed.
