Obituary of Dawson Reid Mendoza

Dawson Reid Mendoza born January 30th, 1999, 22 years old, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. Survived by his mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Robert Baker; father and stepmother, Fernando Jr. and Tiffany Mendoza; brothers Robert Baker Jr. and James Baker; sisters Reagan and Sophia Mendoza and Taylor Tucker; grandparents, Cathy and Dale Elkins, Sharon and Andy Yaney, and Fernando Sr. and Ranee Mendoza, Crystal and Timmy George, Melanie and Johnny Parsons, and James Baker; aunts and uncles, Regina and Larry Maddin, Robin and Frankie Underwood, Amanda and Joe Cartwright, Melissa and Scott Boelman. Tony and Rebecca Mendoza, Karla and Ken Kellogg, and Derrick and Kim Baker; cousins Bryan Gibbs, Corey and DJ Lauglin and Justin Maddin, Luke and Lilly Underwood, Jackson Baker, Cammie and Cason Mendoza, Andrew, Kylie and Olivia Boelman, Ace, Luke, and Joselyn Mendoza, Annabella Binkley and Cole Kellogg, and much more extended Family and Many Friends. Dawson was a graduate of Riverdale High School. Dawson was an avid gamer and spent his free time playing his favorite game League of Legends. He had a great love for cars and cherished his beloved mustang. He dreamed of becoming a professional gamer and then a racer. He had a great love for music. He was a lover of Purple Flurps and enjoyed the game of Magic. He was a collector of Xbox controllers and always needed two sweet and sour sauces for his chicken nuggets as a child. He had a love for animals and was fluent in Spanglish. He spent a lot of hours as a toddler watching Baby Geniuses and making his supervisor exhausted. He tormented his sister with his 6th grade trombone playing. He absolutely despised cutting grass. Dawson was a bright light that filled so many hearts with amazing love. He was truly loved more than he will ever know. Dawson Reid will be greatly missed and always loved by many. Visitation with the family will be 4:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, October 26, 2021 and 1:00--2:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mapleview Cemetery, Smyrna, TN
