Doris Hunter, 89, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Community Care of Rutherford County. Mrs. Hunter was born in Stevens, Georgia to the late Louie and MayBelle Esco. She was a longtime resident of Atlanta, GA until her move to Murfreesboro to be with her daughter. She attended World Outreach Church and enjoyed meeting with her Stonetrace ladies. Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman Hunter; son in law, Harvey Manning. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Manning of Murfreesboro, Carolyn (Sam) Parrish of Mt. Juliet, Sandra (Baynard) Starr of Birmingham, AL and Anne (Beaty) Woodham of Lanette, AL; eleven grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Alton) Sparks of Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
