James Taylor Keltner was born on March 18, 1932 and departed this life on January 5, 2020 at the age of 88.
James was born in Greensburg, Kentucky to the late Mary Kessler Keltner and Bascom Keltner. He served his country during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952.
James was of the Baptist faith and lived a full life as a husband, father, a residential builder and farmer. He is survived by his wife, Gilda Elmore Keltner, his daughter Jackie Milby and husband Darrell Milby, his daughter Beth Leeper and husband Jeff Leeper, his grandsons David Jason (Davey) Milby and Braeden William Treon, his great- grandson Brody Waylon Milby, his sister Phyllis Cowherd and husband James Cowherd, his sister Connie Blakeman and husband Richard Blakeman, his brother Phillip (Shorty) Keltner and wife Ruthie Keltner.
James was preceded in death by siblings Ortella Judd, Larry Keltner, Jerry Keltner, Rex Keltner and Juanita Simpson.
A private military funeral and celebration of life will be held on January 8, 2021 at Miller Cemetery, Christiana, Tennessee.
