Obituary of Larry W. Fite

Larry W. Fite, age 76, died peacefully in his home in Murfreesboro on December 14, 2020. He was a member of Kingwood Church of Christ and a 1962 graduate of Central High School. He went on to serve in the United States Army from 1962 until 1965. He then married the love of his life, Lorraine, in 1969 a few days before he went on to work for Murfreesboro Electric Department for 40 years before his retirement. Mr. Fite was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer throughout his life. He was also a devout Christian and loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, their daughters, Kendra Reasoner and Michele Collins, their grandchildren, Jennifer Bass, Chris Holden, and Ashley McMurry, as well as two great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Dillon Bass. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many dear friends, and his faithful Yorkie-poo companion, Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Fite, and brother, James Fite Jr. Services will take place at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 PM and a Memorial Service will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send a Memorial Donation in Mr. Fite's memory to St. Joseph’s Indian School.
