James “Hall” Porter age 70 passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Georgia Porter, son-in-law Jerry Cox, sisters Margie Lamb and Carol West, brother Bill Porter
Survived by wife Gayle Porter, son Bryant (Onita) Porter, daughter Mandi Cox, grandchildren Caylee Porter and Justin Cox, brothers Dene (Janice) Porter, Lonnie (Sandra) Porter, sisters Lois Shaw and Joyce (Pete) Eaton, several nieces and nephews.
Hall retired as Staff Sergeant from the Tennessee Army National Guard after 38 years of service, a member of Millersburg Baptist Church, an Alabama football fan and coached youth baseball and softball in Rutherford County for many many years.
Visitation with the family will be 12:00 noon until 2:00pm Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Bro. Tony Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Thomas Family Cemetery, Christiana, TN
